This polygon dataset shows the attributes and locations of tax parcel boundaries within the City of Kirkland. This dataset is a subset of the ownership parcel data that is maintained by the IT/GIS department. The ownership parcel dataset was first created over the course of 2001 and 2002 by Triad & Associates. They used original legal documentation to create the parcels and right-of-ways; and used the city’s Survey Control Network as a basis for the anchor points. All parcels and right-of-ways were initially created using AutoCAD. The AutoCAD data were first converted into ArcInfo Coverages and then converted again into SDE Geodatabase feature datasets. ESRI’s COGO tools are used to generate the parcel line work from survey documents and other legal documents.
